Shining Bright was founded in the year 2000 by Jen Badger with a view to helping people suffering from depression, anxiety, low self esteem and other related mental/emotional problems. Jen has studied many different therapies and techniques since 2000 building an extensive personal "tool box" of techniques to help assist each client.
Shining Bright can help you if your are experiencing anxiety, depression or low self esteem. I can teach you some easy skills that will restore balance to your mental/emotional health. Or perhaps your general emotional wellbeing is low after having to spend so much time in isolation after Covid and of course spending extended time with the family can cause stress and anxiety, please do give us a call for an appointment.
The focus of the practice is to help individuals heal and to regain balance, so to enable the client to be able to move forward in their daily life in a peaceful, happy, healthy, way. Sessions are mainly operated via video conference allowing the client to call in from home, work, the car or from where ever they so choose.

Depression affects many people – old and young, male and female. Depression is typically characterised by a lowering of mood and a lack of interest in activities we normally enjoy. Depression can have a devastating effect and can go undetected for years. Depression is not a sign of weakness – and it can be treated. Shining Bright offers tailored sessions to support and help people suffering with Depression.
Self esteem comes from how we view ourselves. Low self esteem is when we have developed a negative or "less than" internal sense of ourselves. In some cases this comes from never having the right foundation to begin with and in others cases our self esteem can be reduced significantly by internalising negative messages from outside of ourselves. Through comparing ourselves to others and listening to negative comments we can become vulnerable and our self worth can take a knock. Shining Bright can guide you with strengthening or building a solid healthy self esteem foundation. Allowing you to accept and love yourself.
Anxiety is a feeling of nervousness, unease, fear, apprehension and sometimes even panic. It can range from a small back ground voice inside ourselves telling us we are not good enough in some way through to being the loudest voice and being completely over powering. It does not need to be this way, with some understanding and a few new life skills anxiety can be put back in to its rightful place. Leaving you to live a relaxed, happy life.
Each session is operated via video conferencing enabling you to call in from wherever you choose, such as home, your car or even whilst taking walk in the park.
Face to face sessions are available if you're in the Mackay area.
